More oat cookies! (including recipe)

It is time for another baking adventure! I don’t know what it is with baking, but I always feel like I’ve achieved something. It’s not the same as when I’ve cooked something. Baking is more precise. If you get the measurements wrong, the whole recipe could fail! Which happened to me plenty of times! This time I will attempt to bake banana peanut butter oat cookies.

Yes I know, more banana oat cookies! I always have bananas and oats in my pantry and I like easy and simple recipes. These cookies are healthy and only use 4 ingredients, so this shouldn’t be difficult at all! (I hope!) Are you ready?! Here we go!

First I preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put all of my ingredients together, so everything is ready to go. You need:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 240 grams of oats
  • 120 grams of peanut butter (I used the chunky variety)
  • 60 grams of dark chocolate (you can also use raisins or nuts).

I mash the bananas with a fork, add the peanut butter, oats and chocolates to it. I mix everything well together and scoop the mixture on a baking tray (lined with baking paper) until the mixture is gone and put them in the oven for 10 – 12 minutes.

Let the waiting begin! So if you are anything like me, I don’t sit on the couch and wait, but I wait in front of the oven to see what happens. It is like I am being hypnotized! The process of baking is so fascinating!

They are done!! I put them on the kitchen counter to cool off. Fingers crossed they will taste nice! Tasting time!! Yes! The best moment of baking! I am taking the first bite … Hmmm… These are actually really tasty! Yum! I can honestly say that this combination works!

I store them in sealable bags, in a dry, cool place for 3 – 4 days.
