Yes! Today is when my dream comes true! We have to interview a fictional character.
As I have mentioned before in one of my previous posts, I love MAGIC! So who better to interview than Mary Poppins! She can make anything happen, and is perfect in every way! I have admired her since I was a child. Now I have the chance to ask her the questions I always wanted to ask! I hope you enjoy this interview!
Me: ‘Welcome Ms. Poppins and thank you for this interview’.
Mary Poppins: ‘You are welcome, my dear’.
Me: ‘My first question: Could you explain to me why you wanted to become a nanny?’
MP: ‘First of all, I would like to make one thing quite clear. I never explain anything.’
Me: ‘My apologies Ms. Poppins, I will rephrase the question: Why did you want to take care of children?’
MP: ‘ … Childhood slips like sand through a sieve … and all too soon they’ve up and grown, and then they’ve flown.’
Me: ‘What is a lesson that you find important for children to learn?’
MP: ‘When the world turns upside down, the best thing to do is turn right along with it.’
Me: ‘You are still so beautiful! How old are you?’
MP: ‘Really? How incredibly rude! One never discusses a woman’s age, Renée, would have hoped your parents taught you better.”’
Me: ‘I am so sorry, Ms. Poppins. You are right. That was a rude question. Let’s go on to the next question: ‘Which tools do you use as a nanny?’
MP: ‘Tradition, discipline, and rules must be the tools!’
Me: ‘In the beginning Michael and Jane didn’t like to do chores. How did you eventually make them do it?’
MP: ‘In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun, and – SNAP – the job’s a game!’
Me: ‘Is ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ your favorite song?’
MP: ‘It is! You know, you can say it backwards, which is ‘docious-ali-expi-istic-fragil-cali-rupus’, but that’s going a bit too far, don’t you think?’
Me: ‘Were there times when you felt that it wasn’t possible to make Michael and Jane listen to you?’
MP: ‘Everything is possible, even the impossible.’
Me: ‘This is the perfect answer to close the interview with. Thank you so much for your time, Ms. Poppins. It was an honor to interview you!’
MP: ‘You’re welcome, dear. Spit spot!’
