My favorite quote!

A new day, another prompt. Day 22 of Bloganuary already, and today we are challenged to write about our favorite quote and why it is our favorite. This had me thinking: ‘Do I have a favorite quote?’. As I am going through my memory, one comes to mind that I have been using a lot over the years, but I don’t know if I thought of it myself or if someone else wrote it.

My favorite quote:

Living my life the way I think is right!

– Unknown

What does this quote mean to me?

It represents me as a person and I still live by it. I have always tried to just live my life, even though I had no idea what living my life meant or what kind of life I would want/have in the future! What I did know is that I wanted to allow myself to go through life, making the necessary mistakes and not punish myself repeatedly for them. We all make them, so why make it harder on yourself by not forgiving yourself? I like to live in the now!

Some years ago life and motivational quotes started to surface practically anywhere, you could buy almost any item with a quote on it! And you still can! I had so many hanging in my house at one point, it probably got a bit too much. Why do I love quotes? You can say they are cliché and they don’t have a function, but I disagree. I believe they can give people strength in times when needed, help you get more clarification about things in life, or just make you feel better when you are down.

What is a sentence or quote that you like or even live by? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

  1. My favorite quote is from the ancient philosopher Heraclitus…”The sun is new again, all day”…I think it means everything is always new, if you look at them with an open heart ❤️❤️
